Adam Wu
Violin Faculty
Adam Wu began his violin studies at the age of four. His educational background includes the Juilliard School Pre-College, a bachelor’s degree from the Yong Siew Toh conservatory of music, and a Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory of music.
His teachers include Masao Kawasaki, Qian Zhou, Fredell Lack, Emanuel Borok, Kristopher Tong, Igor Yuzefovich, Renaud Capucon, Leonidas Kavakos, and Midori Goto.
Appearances as a soloist include the Houston Symphony Orchestra (2011), the Dallas
Symphony Orchestra(2009), and the Xiamen Philharmonic (2011); with conductors Robert Franz, Jaap Van Zweden, and Zheng Xiaoying, respectively.
Awards include first place at the Lynn Harrell Competition, first place at the Houston
Symphony League Concerto Competition and second place junior division at the Kingsville International Competition.
