Ma, Xiaoou

Violin Faculty

Ma, Xiaoou received her undergraduate and masters degree in Violin Performance at Central Conservatory of Music in China and has Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from Ball State University. She holds a certificate from Liszt Conservatory of Music.

 

She won the first prize of Music Competition of New Youth Musician in 2011 and the second prize of Chamber Music Competition of CCOM in 2008. She has been performing with Muncie Symphony Orchestra, National Center For The Performance Arts String Quartet, and Beijing Symphony Orchestra. She is the concertmaster of Ball State Symphony Orchestra since 2017.

 

Ms. Ma has been teaching violin both in China and in the State for 12 years. She taught violin in various colleges, such as the School of Music at Ball State University, Continuing Education College at Central Conservatory of Music, and Kede College at Capital Normal University in Beijing. She won the Grand Prize of Instructor in Vienna Arts of Festival and the outstanding Supervisor in Singapore Arts Festival for her excellent teaching. She also serves as a judge at China Competition Area of San Jose International Art Festival USA and off-campus Examination of Central Conservatory of Music.
